Melanie Yuill is a communications and media specialist with eight years of experience in the television news business. Most recently she worked in a top 50 market at the ABC affiliate in Birmingham, AL. Her coverage of Hurricane Nate aired nationwide and the Alabama Associated Press named her the Best Reporter - 2nd place in 2017. She has a demonstrated history of producing original stories that increase ratings. One of her stories even helped a man get the life-saving kidney donation he needed.

 

Melanie is originally from the Philadelphia area and would love to continue her career in this region.

Melanie's favorite part of her career thus far has been all the new people she has met and new information she has learned. Melanie loves research and telling stories that make a difference. As a reporter she's covered it all, plane crashes, tornadoes, blizzards, politics, and people overcoming obstacles.

When she's not working Melanie likes spending time with her husband and dog, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
